As a result, there will no no Athenians meetings on 23 and 30 December 2008

SEE YOU ALL ON TUESDAY 6th JANUARY 2009.  MERRY CHRISTMAS!

On 9 December 2008, Jess Bass managed to accomplish her Athenians goal for 2008 by successfully completing her 10th speech in magnificent style and before the end of the year yesterday!! And of course, in doing so, she also completed her CC Manual, became a Competent Communicator/ Toastmaster, received her CC Ribbon, won the Best Speaker of the evening ribbon and is now looking to sharpen her teeth on some Advanced speeches.

CONGRATULATIONS TO AC GASKELL ON COMPLETING HIS CC MANUAL AND TENTH SPEECH!!!!

On 25th November 2008, AC Gaskell not only performed his tenth speech with an impressive display but he also won the Best Speaker Ribbon in doing so!!

His message was cleverly couched in Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs whilst at the same time he aimed to inspire all you Athenians to get on the Programme and to highlight the benefits that attending Athenians meeting can and does deliver.

The "Backwards Evening" succeeded in discombobulating everyone very successfully!

Yes - It was wild, at sometimes impossible to follow yet everyone involved had a great deal of fun!!
Thank you to everyone who participated (particularly Keith, whose idea it was to run it) in the Backwards Evening last Tuesday. Great effort all.
